I can crawl and stand up all by myself. June 2012

I don't know if you remember but our chunky kid is being trying to stand up since month one (when he actually wasn't chunky lol). I was told to not let him because crawling is a stage they need to go through before standing up and walking, and his knees were not ready for that yara yara yara. Well, Damian didn't get the memo and Dr Bunney said that was bologna. He kept trying to stand up and started taking some steps when we held him up as soon as 6 months. I didn't particularly encourage it but by 7 1/5 months he standing up on his own and stepping going forward. The chunky is on his way to walking, and I am on my way to tiredom LOL



                            

So after standing up and taking a few steps I was about to give up on the crawling thing... but then we had guests (his friend from Michigan Sebastian who is 1 yr old) and he saw him crawling, he observed every moved he make and that night Damian started crawling (8 months old)


He is doing what's called butterfly-swimming crawling. He uses only his upper body to crawl. Here is the two steps of his crawling and Genevive (my Primary student) doing that with him too =)

A couple weeks after he started crawling Sebastian visited him again and Damian realized his crawling was not the same as Sebastian so he observed his every move and that night Damian was crawling on his 4 legs =)

Since he's being going around he found other things more interesting than his toys... his new favorite toy is the empty formula can. We call it his drum =) Damian has an aunt and uncle in Spain that play the drums so it's in the blood.
