Utah Vacation- Friends and my side of the family

These are a few pictures from before we left to Utah.

This picture was taken by Damian and it is called "My sister puts everything in her mouth" hahaha Really she does. We're all the time sticking our fingers in her mouth and getting stuff out that we see her chewing. Funny is I had no idea Damian took this picture until now.

Damian still LOVES cooking with mommy and daddy. Here we're making healthy pancakes.

Ok now here is blog post about our little trip to Utah. We were so blessed to be able to visit good friends especially when at the time we had not have the opportunity to make many close friends in Kansas.

Emmita, Damian, and I left Jonathan in Kansas =( and went on a trip to visit our family and friends in Utah  =) before Kirstin's wedding in Arizona.

We first visited Ogden where my cousin Erica lives. She has a 2 year old Anika and a 9 month old Nico.

Damian and Anika were best friends as soon as they saw each other again.

My cousin just moved into this gorgeous home. This is a shot of one side of her backyard.

Damian and Anika having breakfast that Damian prepared for her.

We then went to Lehi, UT to visit the new museums and our friends that lived there. One is my friend Connor Boyack from Libertas Institute.

I have collaborated in a few things with Connor's organization Libertas. Most recently, I helped translate his new children's book The Tuttle Twins. It is always fun to volunteer for Libertas since the things that I do actually impact the community and future generations.

Another friend was the Gwilliams. Karen and I became close friends when we were assigned to be both teachers for Activity Days. Jackson and Damian were little good buddies back then and they just hit it off as good as before.

All of my friends from my ward in Orem and I went to the Thanks Giving Point gardens with our kiddos. They got to feed the fish and play with each other.

Karen and her kiddos and us.

Back in the day when they were friends in Orem one day Jackson held Damian's hand and we took pictures. It was adorable. Well this time around they did the same. It is just adorable how Damian has a few friends that he just feels so close to, Jackson is one. Fun fact, the first name Damian ever learned was "jac'tn" a primitive way to say Jackson.

Then I visited Salt Lake City and my friends from politics. A few of them are missing because they couldn't come and others because I am a dork and forgot to take pictures of them like my awesome friends the Ukaliolas. They're like the coolest couple.

This are my hilarious friends Matt Brown and JJ Suprise.

Christie whom allowed us to do the potluck at her home.  Paul Vanasco and Joe, really cool guys too.

My girl Glori Smith.                                                                          My girl Lacey Smith.

Nxt day was Saturday and Karen, Heather, and I went to the huge amazing kid learning museum in Lehi. Heather wasmy next door neighbor and bestie in Orem.

It was fun but it was hard being without Jonathan. Chasing two little ones is not the job of one person lol

There was this cute little splash place for the tiny ones. Olivia loved it!

My friend Teresa Cosper is also from politics. We met online and she wanted to meet me in person so we met at the parking lot of the museum and chat for a while. Really facebook is a wonderful networking tool and has allowed me to make close friends in real life even though they start virtually haha.

The rest of the day we hung out with Heather.

Then on Sunday we went to visit my cousin La Nena (Mariel) in Salt Lake City. We met with Erikita and family there as well. All the cousin hung out together. They all get along so well. It is adorable!

We wanted to take pictures of the cousins together and Damian felt the need to hug Olive. I melted.
Then give her love looks. This glimpses of tenderness make me believe he does love her hahaha
Say cheese!!!

Ximenita darling giving Olive a leaf.

Ximenita and Damiansito exploring together. She is such a tender little girl.

Damiansito and Anikita having fun. Then back to Ogden where it all started.

The cousins cooking cookies with tia Erikita.

Taking turns. Damian was so sweet with Anika. I wonder why he is not this sharing and thoughtful with Olive =(

Last stop before going with my in-laws was the Temple in Salt Lake City. Just beautiful.
