For the Mexican Independence Day we went to my cousin's house in Ogden to celebrate. We truly enjoy spending time with them.
All her friends from growing up and in her ward came to the celebration, they all made different dishes so we ate pozole, mole, tinga, flan, atole, tacos, tostadas, salsa de chile de arbol, conchas, pan dulce. I mean it felt like home for real.

We were all very festively dressed =) Even our white husbands!
Since the party went all the way until 1am we stay over that weekend with them.
The next day (Saturday) we all dressed up again with Mexican outfits. The guys were wearing guayaberas; the four pocket shirts.
That funny face Damian is making is the face he makes when he doesn't like something... in this case, get forced to remain still so that we can take them some pictures =)

Everybody SMILE!!!!
after taking the pictures and having some Pozole and Pan Dulce for breakfast, Erikita, Scottie, Anika, and us went for a long walk. Ogden is really beautiful despite the bad reputation it has in Utah. It is typically called the Armpit of Utah, well, I've never seen a prettier armpit.
The trail we walked had a riachuelo (little river?) where people fish and swim. There was a little area were you can pump water into this artsy structure. Damian and Anika loved it.
The path along the river had a few paintings. We were playing a game of choosing our favorite. Out of all of the paintings this was the only one we all liked and of course the winner. We loved this painting. The Larsens and the Laus have similar taste and likes.
